Working of Pressure Sensing Matrices

A pressure sensing matrix operates by arranging individual FSR (Force Sensing Resistor) elements into a grid of rows and columns, where each sensing point detects force as a change in resistance. At a singular level, an FSR responds to applied pressure by decreasing its resistance, allowing basic force detection at one point. When expanded into a multi-level array, multiple FSR nodes work together through a scanning circuit that sequentially reads each row and column intersection, capturing pressure data across the entire surface.
