Working of NFC

NFC lets devices connect wirelessly and communicate when held close to each other. It sits under RFID - radio wave identification, an older technology still used in cattle farms, grocery stores and airport luggage tags.

NFC uses the 13.56 MHz RFID frequency for close range contactless communication. Access cards use it for entry to secured buildings, and contactless payments need no physical contact - just bring the phone near the terminal to launch an app and connect.
